Fixing that dreaded door clip problem on an sc400
Well I got the rod and clip assembly to install on my drivers side, so the door handle would once again work, yet I encountered a major problem.
I went to install today, just couldn't get lower window screw to budge on left side, the one that holds in the window frame, so the door actuator assembly could be removed.
So my buddy said since it's so stripped it'll have to be drilled and tapped out.
Argh. This couldn't be more frustrating.
Then we tried to bend the rod back and of course once we got it in their, it kept popping back out and eventually broke.
Looks like I'll have to take it to someone who can shave the screw and then find one of the same size to fit in their once the part is installed.
My bad luck I guess...
