Default Thinking about putting a 6 speed in my SC400

I cant decide if this mod is worth the cost. Its going to cost me over $5000!
Is it worth it? Well Maybe not $5000 I have some stuff to sell

My stock 97 tranny $300-400
My PI dragon stall TC $550
My BM trans cooler $50

Its still over $4000

I could sell my New NX wet shot system, My JIC body Kit (to low on my car)

Worth it or not?

with the stuff you have to sell, this is a no brainer. six speed for sure. this decision is on par with your Rezax decision. Your wheels are on the same level as the v160. Both are rare, and both will take the car to another level.

How much did you invest on the purchase of the car? the exhaust? the wheels? the brakes? the suspension? the seats? the blower?

$4k over what you have to sell is a relatively small price to pay for greatness.

If you have the cash.. Definitely.. Since your already have a blower, you will only fall in love with your car all over again.. It will be now feel like a totally different car. Having a manual will allow to tap your powerband imediately. People loved GS-R's Vtech cause their strongest gear is 3rd...ahhh... Reminiscing the days when my buddies use to race Honda's and Acura's (I'm an old man 30.. hehe).. Anyhow.. if you cant afford it now .. why not a couple of months later? Tax returns money should be coming in soon right .. Hell there are always Credit Cards.. Like RedPhoenix, you will have no problem selling your parts.. Ok I'm rambling.. but just realize modifying cars are nothing but money pits, and its all about your passion.. Do it for all us poor soles with no 2jz...:P

If you think you can afford it then go ahead, it would be a perfect match for your supercharger setup. If money is too much of an issue, why not just go with a R154? just as reliable and much cheaper.....

Interesting society we live in where people are willing to spend 5,000 dollars on something to make a toy slightly faster.

lol, oh man, do I ever feel guilty now. I must have spent three times that making my toy go faster. I suppose the government should pass restrictions on how much people can spend on their hobbies and entertainment. I think I am going to sell the SC, send the money to Habitat for Humanity then buy some carbon credits and a Prius as penance for my moral and environmental sins. NOT.
