Default the hell with 400whp ! im changing the setup again !

ok fellas some of you have seen my posts on here about the buildup of the car, some have not. i decided to see what a 2jzge stretched to the limits can do on a dizzy system.

so.....im ditching the turbonetics kit, im adding a huge turbo, huge intercooler, hks cam.crower cam regrind, full build up of the head, aftermarket intake manifold, dual walboros, v160 anda boat load of more stuff. i will start posting pics asap. before and after pics. and dyno #'s again when finished. im no joke looking for 1000 hp either at the crank or wheels. im gonna fry the stock block first then have a fresh built unit to put in.

oh god here we go

My roommate is running the same setup on his Supra with the GT47-80 turbo and the Virtual Works manifold. Its pretty damn huge and not to mention heavy. He had to go with solid engine mounts because the stock ones dont handle the weight so well. What numbers is that Supra putting out?

Big numbers are great. You can push out 1000hp with a GT47-80. Like 1JZ300 mentioned you will need a good tune. My Supra friend drove almost 15hrs to Oregon in the 1000hp beast so he can drop it off at R-Rev for a couple thousand dollars worth of tuning. Be prepared to open up your wallet.

Ben, you're a little to late!!! I already started

I'm in the same boat as you. Already sold my daveH kit and was ready to throw on a gt42r, but as time went by somehow it kept getting knocked down and decided with a gt40r. Then somehow garrett complicated things so I ended up with a pt67dbb. Still looking to make 700rwhp.

Hope you have a good build up and don't run into much trouble.

At least it will be driveable and responsive across a larger section of the rev's without going nuts with a full head rebuild and blueprint/balance to achieve the rev's needed for those monster compressors..

Better choice -- anything past 700 won't make it to the ground anyhow right??

yeah you must know what im going through....lol
great pick on turbos. i picked the same as you (precision), but i picked up the PT76GT-S, hks 50mm wastegate, new manifold, 6 speed trans, greddy oil cooler/relocator unit, new hks cam, will do a regrind on exhaust, hks dli, full build up on the head coming and shopping for a hks type r intercooler, but last and most important to me is the MVP intake manifold kit with fuel rail and 1000 cc precision injectors.

whewww thats alot of crap to install. we will see how it all goes. as long as i hit 1000hp either on the crank or wheels im happy !

i picked my turbo because its hotside (.81) wouldnt keep me from spooling toooo slow for low boost performance, on my aem unit i will be setting up a few maps, first map for all out power with race gas aka dyno queen, second mediumish safe boost for pump and third low boost pump. the last two will be optimized for maybe 500ish whp for street because lets be honest where the hell am i going to run this car on the streets at full boost?
we will see how it all goes down ! no matter what i want a all show all go car, clean cage inside, full sound system, car was repainted, have brakes already, interior was redone, so here we go.
