DANG Stupid thing happened
So, I finally got the VPC and AFR wired up and everything seemed fine. 15 psi and loving it. I made a left turn out of a gas station and the engine dies. It won't turn over and thier is no electrical power. I pop the hood and found the battery hold down strap "welded" to the positive battery pole. The electrical system is shorted out. Where should I start looking, all fuses and relays are good, yet not even the starter, windows gauges, radio or anything else works. Do you think the problem is with the ignition switch?
have you tried jumping the car.....sounds like the battery is shot if no light acc or anything is coming on...and double check the fuses...they are sometimes hard to tell if there blown or not....
All fuses ans relays under the hood in the main black box are good. Also the fuses and relays on drivers side kick panel are good.
Is there another fuse box?
I tested the starter and Alternator and they are both good.
The one problem I found was the voltage between the battery + and the body which is about 8 volts, while voltage between + and - battery poles is 12.25 volts as well as the voltage between battery + and engine block is 12.25 volts.
When I try to place a ground between the engine and the body (frame) I get a spark.
Why a spark between two negatives?
Why the low voltage between battery and body (frame).
Where should I continue to look?
