Default Search isnt working... 1jz max boost psi question

Whats the max boost that the stock twins can hold relative to the corresponding hp output? Im asking because Im debating whether or not to get my buddies methanol kit installed since im doing the swap. Im looking to get around 350hp without going single (yet)

I just googled your query. www.driftcentral.com mentions 15psi as being often attained as a high boost number for the stock twins.

18psi is about the most those crappy twins can take daily. Tuned that is...

350 to the wheels can be had with the basic bolt on's and a mild tune

Turn up the boost. Get your car up to 350HP and then break the exhasut wheel of the crappy twins and your forced to get a single.

Just drive it conservatively until you got the funds to go single, and then boost the hell out of it. Take it from experience Twins suck.

I've run mine for 3-odd years with max boost set near 18 PSI... never had any problems.... Of course, if you're going to stomp on it every time you let the stop light, then who knows?
