Default noise

I had the same problem a couple of times. Once it turned out to be the belt "squeaking". Get some "belt dressing" and rub the stick against the serpentine belt as it runs. Do both sides. You do understand that the belt will CUT OFF anything you let get caught in a pulley. Suggest you don't use anything more important than your fingers to apply the stuff.

Next, get a 3 dollar stethoscope from Harbor freight and "listen" to the bearings. Two of the mounting bolts don't turn. Listen to the AC, alternator, power ster pump and the hyd fan pump.

It is most prob the belt. And, I think they also have an aero can spray of the stuff.

Good hunting.

John

Belt dressing will only temporarily take care of the noise, it will come back...A new serp belt is needed...Water pump pulley could be squeeling too...You need to listen or spray a little lube in each area to find the location of the problem if it is something other then the belt.....
