How do you like it so far? I put 16-17 lbs of boost through it and the tranny doesn't shift that smooth anymore. Before I put boost through it, it shifted like butter. Now... it shifts rougher than the w58 I blew up. I'm guessing the car is somewhere near 500 rwhp. I doubt the r154 is going to last too long.

how many miles are on your r154 mrshabo? that will have a lot to do with how it feels. The r154 is defn a heavy duty box and will take some work to shift it but thats just due to its build. They are known to take 700whp pretty easily. If your unsure of mileage it might be a good idea to tear it down, inspect and refresh the trans.

see the thing is when 96sc3 installed it, it was shifting like butter. I also had a new clutch/flywheel installed so I was breaking that in also. When i got over the break in period, I boosted the car a little and now it shifts like crap. Why would it shift like butter before I ever boosted it then shift like crap after it feels some boost.

(I didn't powershift the transmission at all, i let it engage into gear then layed on the gas again). No launching either

hmm thats a tough one... it might be that since you were under less load the syncros had an easier time engaging the gears. Is it grinding at all? What oil did you put in? Did you bleed the clutch line? What was the condition of the trans when you got it? Sorry for all the questions but those are the best I can come up with to help us help you. If everything was put together correctly (torque specs and all) it seems like it would be a wear factor that is kicking in due to the higher stress/power levels when boosting. Get at us and give us some details about the setup.
