Ive never changed transmission oil on any car. how hard is it to change on a 93 sc300? Can someone gimmie a step by step tutorial. I bought some royal purple oil and auto fluid.

You bought some royal purple oil and automatic transmission fluid? Im assuming the Royal purple is for the motor, correct? As for changing the auto transmission fluid goes, Its really quite simple. Before changing it you must take a couple things into consideration. If you are getting hard shifts or your Auto trans. fluid has not been changed in more than 6 months then I'd suggest taking it to a shop and getting the entire thing flushed for better performance. When you are just changing the fluids you are only changing out most of the dirty fluids. Having said that here are the simple steps you can take to change your auto trans. fluid:

1) Jack up the car
2) Right underneath the transmission you should see a drain plug very similar to the motor oil drain plug. You take it off.
3) Let it drain into a pan or something that can catch all the fluids.
4) Drop the car so that all the fluids come out. The trick here is to try and get as much out as possible.
5) You plug it back up and then you fill. Dont forget to check the level.
6) You take me out to Outback Steakhouse so we can get a Porterhouse Steak!

You get more out (step 4) if the car is warmed up, and if you leave the drain plug off longer.

Watch the drip rate- if it tapers off, no point in waiting, but if it keeps dripping, and you can spare the time, you can get a lot more out by postponing step 5.

Of course, if you want it ALL out, you can do a home "flush".
