Any one knows what type of transmission oil it takes quantity! and is it a DIY or only dealer.
My 2008 tundra has a complex way of changing gear oil it needs to be warmed up to a specific temperature before the fluid can be changed

when i had my ls460l, the tech told me the tranny is completely sealed, and the fluid isn't changed for a long long time like 100k miles?

coz' of that i didn't bother to look into what type of fluid and how much

 

You DO NOT want to change the tranny fluid youself on the LS 460 -- if the system remails airtight, you may never have to change the fluid for the life of the car

The fluid is a lifetime ATF that never has to be changed. The official title of the auto trans fluid that Toyota uses in the 4LS' transmission including the ISF's 8speed auto is "Toyota WS ATF". WS = World Standard. It is not compatible with the universal Dexron/Mercon or Toyota Type T-IV fluid.
