1jzgte Vvti Swap Help!
Hey guys hows it going?
This is the first time i have posted on club lexus and wanted to say hello to everyone. I own a 1995 Sc300 and i just finished swapping in a 1jzgte vvti. The swap has gone flawless mechanically, i am having a bit of frustration with the wiring. I can't seem to find where to disable the shift interlock for the ignition. Does is have anything to do with the unused harness on top of the tranny tunnel?
Down by the battery i have one extra wire of the 1jz side that is white with a red stripe, does this wire have to be run somewhere on the grey connector on the kick panel?
I have one other problem as well, The car's idle is very high probably 1200-1500. It feels as though it is a bit sticky while driving it, when i push the clutch in to shift it feels like the revs stick a little. Once the car warms up it begins to pulse from about 800-1200, like the ecu is trying to figure out what is going on. Could this be a Idle air valve problem? I have checked for air leaks on the intake side and everything is fine. Could this be a wiring issue?
I really really appreciate your guys help these cars are awesome and the support on here is great. I
can't wait to get this all taken care of so i can start driving the beauty every day!
Thank you so much guys
