AEM EMS vs. Split Second for NA-T
I was recently informed of a piggy back fuel controller that offers full timing control at less than half the cost of an AEM EMS:
http://www.splitsec.com
How do you think this compares to the AEM EMS, especially for 2JZ NA-T applications? Commentary on why you folks voted for either one over the other would be much apprecited.

I used the SplitSec on my older VR4 back in the day. It's kinda outdated now. Now personally if I were building a NA-T, I'd go with the AEM EMS or the HKS FCon V Pro. Both with all the goodies. More towards the V Pro though. MMMMM Tasty. And what FullRace manifold. I wanna see.

Split second sucks.
Their stuff is overpriced in every segment, and doesn't touch what their competition does.
For piggybacks:
Expencive top tier
SMT-7 > E-Manage Gold > Everything else
Former top tier, now mid-pack & low priced
SMT-6 > E-Manage > SS FTC-1 (in dead last of "advanced" piggybacks)
Anything AFC should be avoided at all costs.
You could turbo one with an SMT6, or 7 using a MAP sensor to tune fuel, and ignition & have the stock ECU happy & not be too **** about re-learning. Imagination can use their capabilities to overcome & achive in practice nearly anything a stand along can.
If you want a fully stand alone
Megasquirt
AEM (Because AEM is cheaper)
then anything else.

Voted AEM(of course).
Most/all the cars we have built are running the EMS, and is where you need to be. Sure, there are more expensive and less expensive options out there, but the AEM is PROVEN to work. Simple as that. Oh, and if you want a deal on an F-R manifold, you will be forced to speak to me
