Starting Problem... No power to starter Solenoid
Hello,
Well, after viewing every similar post, my problem seems unique.
Occasionally, my 95 SC 400 would not start, lights work fine, absolutely no starter engagement, no clicks, nothing. Totally random, give it 5 minutes, an hour, whatever, it would start fine.
This problem got worse over the past few months until the car refused to start at all. So after checking the fuses, shift interlock, everything I can think of, I decide it must be the starter.
After spending 5 hours getting to the darn thing, I find the solenoid is not getting voltage when the key is turned to the start position.
So now I am backtracking... thinking it must be an electrical and/or switch problem. Anyone have any ideas or know where an electrical diagram(s) of the starter/ignition system is? The starter relay seems fine, but its hard to say for sure without some kind of diagram.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
