Throttle Body Spacer for SC4?
I have a 93' SC4, can i find a throttle body spacer for my car, or does no one make one? Is it worth it? Tried searching the forums but no results came up.
Hey buddy,
Don't mess with the spacer. I have a throttle body guy work on my stuff. For the 1UZ he said this:
The Lexus TB is pretty well built already. It does not have the problems of
the Dodge TB's. The easiest and most effective things I can do for it is to
modify the shafts and knife edge the blades. It is a pretty good sized TB
already and enlarging the bores probably will not see much gain. I will
break through a few vacuum ports to enlarge it also which is a problem
I am having him do this to my TB and can post back when I evaluate it.

If the spacer is for a 98-00 SC400, yes. If it's for a 92-97 SC400, no. The pre-VVTI 1UZ-FE motor uses a different intake manifold and throttlebody than the VVTI 1UZ-FE.
