Sc300 Jerking at 4000 RPM
I have an auto sc300 with 73k and when I drive rev up to 4000 rpm or a little higher the car acts like it is cutting fuel. I have tried fuel injector cleaner and cleaned the throttle body and the throttle response got a little better but the problem did not go away. Did anyone else have this problem occur?

First time is the hardest. The hardest part for me was taking the coolant hose off the throttle body. The screw clamp for the hose was faced inward so I had to find a way to twist the hose 180 degrees to get access to the screw.
I did a coolant bypass mod and I don't have to mess with that again.
As for your jerking at 4000 rpm, is that under heavy accleration, light, or both?

Oh yeah, there were some post I found in a search that said the mass air flow meter caused problem to cars with hesitation at 2700-2800 rpm. You could check that out too.

My sc 300 is jerking at about 3500 rpm. Changed the plugs cap and wires with no improvement, however when I pulled the plugs, they had oil on them. This leads me to consider the valve/plug seal leaking. The problem was brought on when I didn't shift till about 6000 RPM. I will re-post when I get the parts put in. I hope this will bring back my beloved top-end.
Cheers

I agree EGR sounds like the culprit, though my supra did the same thing at 4200 rpm and turned out to be a faulty knock sensor signal. The engine was in fact cutting fuel and timing
