Unhappy Transmission Failure?

OK... I was driving today, started losing speed, parked, turned the car off/on... now the car will not move no matter how high I rev the engine. The car has always shifted perfectly so i havent a clue.

When I move the shifter, the engine throttles up and down slightly, but the transmission never engages. I looked under the car and the linkage seems to be moving.

Any ideas???

Transmission fluid is right in the middle, where it should be and this being Texas, the temp was about 95. I really was expecting to find no transmission fluid. But it is all there and no burnt smell or discoloration.
