Welcome to my 1995 SC300 5spd NA-T Project Thread. I want this to be a good resource for other DIY 2JZ-GE NA-T'ers with lesser budgets. I will chronicle my daily progress of my project and hope to collaborate with everyone here to properly attain my 350rwhp goal with the following setup on stock 10:1 compression:
MAP-ECU (MAF removed)
DaveH manifold + DaveH midpipe + DaveH shorty down pipe
Tial 40mm wastegate w/ 6lb spring
HKS SSQV BOV
TE-44 Turbo w/ .63 Garett exhaust housing
RX7 550cc injectors ported to flow 605cc
Supra MKIV TT Fuel Pump
Supra MKIV TT SMIC
It seems I need SMIC piping, spark plugs, downpipe w/ flex section (ceramic coated), full mandrel 3in-->2.5in Exhaust & resonator/muffler to complete my Turbo dream
.
I've been working on a "MEGA" NA-T n00bs install guide with pictures, video, and facts I've gathered from MANY conversations that will be finished when this project is complete. It will be posted and shared with everyone
. Your constructive input and collaboration is much appreciated. So, lets begin
!

The rest is in the garage..who wants more pics? Now, I only need the car! Care to sell me a sc300 5 speed anyone?

haha i think you're the first person i know who bought a turbo kit before their car.
but everything looks pretty good. there are plenty of people who have had good success with map ecu.
good luck finding a car

i can get you a nice SC local to me if you want. 92 5-speed, 130kish miles. new tires, shocks, aftermarket wheels, no leaks whatsoever. ask anyone here, and you will find out that i know what to look out for when buying an SC. i have owned 2 5-speeds. the car also has new paint and a perfect body. there are some things that need to be removed... aftermarket cd changer, tv, neon shift ****... little things. the interior needs attention, but its worth the price. the guy was asking 9k for it, but i can get him a lot lower since he needs to sell it. believe it or not, it is an older man selling the car, dont know why he liked the neon shift ****
sorry to get off topic, but pm me if interested.

It's relatively small compared to a large FMIC. But, it is a very efficient intercooler especially at the 350rwhp level, which is my power goal. Plus, the shorter smic piping will help the turbo spool-lag associated with longer fmic piping. The supra SMIC is even bigger than the 300zx twin turbo intercoolers, so efficiency is a big factor regardless of size IMHO.
