Default Magnaflow 14829 question

Ok so i ordered the 14829's, and was wondering if I do 2.25" with the xpipe and go straight to the headers will that be too loud? Or should I throw cats in there.\

Most of the posts i've seen ppl have just ran from the y pipe back, but have not come across anyone that did xpipe and no cats or resonators.

Any help is appreciated

Mike

I also picked up some Magnaflows - 14851 (race series 14829), and plan on keeping the front cats. I'm getting rid of the stock mufflers, resonators and the third resonator or cat that the factor setup Y's into. The modified exhaust pipe will start after the headers and then go straight from there to an X-pipe, which should help to smooth out the flow and preserve my torque - from here it will go straight back to my mufflers. Pipe will be 2.25, and all bends will be mandrel bent. I'll let you know how it turns out.

This Saturday? Hopefully, I'll try to swing by. I have to help prep the parking lot for the carshow the following day for you all to bake at hehe =)

I'm hoping to have the drop and rims before I even show my car out there lol.
