Weird A/C Problem
Hello,
I've searched the forums extensively for solutions to my problem and am still not sure what the problem is.
The other day when starting the car, when I turned on the A/C the battery light on the dash and the power steering became erratic. When I turned the wheel it would just fight me. As soon as I turned the a/c off the battery light went off and the power steering was fine again. If I turn the a/c on while on the freeway it usually works fine but sometimes the a/c light will start blinking.
I checked the belt tension which is within spec. And I also did the A/C diagnostic which gave me code "00" (normal). There is no squeeling coming from the engine. This is a 92 sc300 with 197K. The compressor was changed out at 139k with a remanufactured compressor.
Any Ideas?
Thanks,
Lawrence
