no way can u turbo wit that $$$. Dont even think about it. Go with suspension mods like most people say and forget intake. Exhaust and SAFC will yild good results but i would wait for until turbo to get exhaust. Tuned SAFC will give u atleast 10rwhp
Spring & shock combo $500
Daizen sways $500
SAFCII $200 used
Go buy your girlfriend something nice so she wont b!!!tch about the stuff u bought $300

You could also chuck on good aftermarket shocks with lowering springs (I like Espelirs) and roll on some 17" Supra wheels I'm sure you should be able to find a set of Supra rims for a cheap price in the US. Don't worry about turbo at the moment, get used to the car first and go from there. Once you're used to it go for full GTE conversion (1JZ or 2JZ take your pick )

ok maybe not the full swap but you can get the full 5speed swap and still have money left. C'mon on now this is california. I've seen complete low mileage short and long Supra TT blocks for cheap. You just have to know where to look.

tein basics $650
magna flows $400
supra TT wheels $500
LS400 Big brake upgrade $300

right now your car probably looks like a monster truck so a drop is definately recommonded. also you can be king of the highways with nice brakes wheels and suspension allowing you to drive faster through the corners with confidence. The car is definately more stable with the wider wheels and stiffer suspension and you dont have to hold back as much with big brakes as you will be able to stop on a dime. Also the exhaust gives the car a nice look and deep growl all those mods will definately make the car look more sporty and perform better. Its a bit over your budget but im sure u can come up with another 350 by the time u peice this together.

All over mods like turbo are way out of your price range and Maybe a safc-II would be good as well as its the best bang for the buck when it comes to hp gains.

c'mon nothing. The facts are the following

5speed possible. (almost impossible but I've seen it done)

6speed impossible.

huge difference in the two.

how did we go from transmissions to engines?

believe me I know where to look.

labor for 6speed from from auto on SC300 would be more than $1500.

5speed is possible. Im working on a auto to 5speed project right now and havent even spent $600 yet! The transmission is also a low mileage one too. AND to save myself even more money Im doing the work myself. Forget paying for labor. The only people I depend on for help are Supra people who have experience with this type of stuff.

PS..I believe I have already said that no more 6speed for $1500 since most people who do the conversion end up paying alot

going turbo for $1500 is a joke... $1500 will barely get you in the door, with half the stuff you need.

I'd say save it, or spend it on rims, tires & suspension.

Worry about the driveline when you've got 8k to throw around.

for a semi reliable 300hp, i would guess about $4000. at the least. making power is one thing... keeping the car up and running is another story. just put it in the bank untill you can go all out. if thats what you want to do. you can always do what i did.... get a second job!!

It's possible to convert an auto to a 6 speed for 1500, I did it for less.

All the work was done by myself and all parts were either donated or bought for really cheap.

As for what to spend the $1500 on, I'd spend it on maitenance first. get the car running good before you start modding it.

What is a good price for lower control arm bushings? Are the ones on ebay a rip off?
