hey guys.. i am soon buying an sc300 and i was wondering if a stocc 2JZGTE will drop in perfectly in the SC300.. i kno that the SC already has the 2JZGE stocc but i was wondering if the turbos will fit w/o any modifications and if it does drop in perfectly... would $5k be enough for labor and custom parts? thanks

yes it will drop right in but please search this topic has been covered many many times

by the way are you planning on using a usdm engine or a jdm engine if you give me some details on exactly what you were thinking of doing then i can help you out feel free to ask but you will find almost all the answers to your questions by searching

well good luck to you finding one .... you wont. toyota doesnt sell the whole engine any more your not going to find a used one with any kind of low miles i would know i searched for months my suggestion would be to get a jdm engine and since your car is a 95 correct? you should be ok because you wont have to worry about finding an obd2 engine, most jdm engines sold are obd1. if you decide to go with a jdm engine you will need to swap out the oil pan because it wont clear. it would also be very helpful to find an engine that comes with transmission ecu and an uncut wiring harness. check www.venus-auto.com they have good deals on 2jzgtte engines you can also check out www.jdmaddiction.com

Forget the engine swap, just get a turbo kit and save the headaches. If your SC3 has high mileage, then rebuild/build up the stock 2JZ and THEN put on a single turbo kit

thanks for the replies... u think the 2JZGTE short blocc would be a good picc since it has brand new parts and its sold roughly around $2000+ in www.l-tunedparts.com.

oh yea the car has 95k miles on it.

I'd recommend the GTE swap over an NA-T kit for the long run. If you're looking for a new TT short block, i'd recommend Dan or Curt @ Elmhurst Toyota. Just don't buy from Bob Bridge Toyota, they have good pricing on the internet but are not the type of ppl you'd want to do business with. Good luck on your project.
