hey guys, I want to find out what parts i can use from my ge motor onto to my new shortblock and new head. i know about the obvious intake and exaust but what about alternator etc. The little things that could add up the price of a new engine. I am asking because i get a new short block and new cylinder head for $2,300.00. I was originally going towars a used motor swap but its a good felling knowing you have a new motor. i dont care about throttle body intake , fule parts cause thse will go bigger and better.

If you have bought a brand new GTE shortblock you should have the bearings spec'd since ther are now assmebled in mexico and are known to spin rod bearings.
Alternator(different auto/6spd), starter, oil pump, oil pans, pickup, iac motor are all the same.

Toyota has no engine plant in Mexico, but you should pull the caps off and plastigauge it.
