Question Car Dies & Hesitation?

I believe it is a fuel problem, but I am hoping you guys can help me narrow it down.

Occasionally when you come to a hard stop the car will engine will shut off. The lights and accessories stay on but the motor quits and will usually start on the first try.

Also, during normal driving conditions and cruising the engine bogs making you look like any idiot bouncing back and forth in your seat (it's not that noticable).

Some background about the car. It is a '96 SC400 with about 55,000 miles on it. I do put premium gas in it and I recently changed the plugs (this hesitation was there before I changed them).

Please help! Thanks

You might try running some Sea Foam through the intake. Sounds like it might just be dirty.

definitely sounds like fuel is being choked off. Instead of using that cheapie $3 injector cleaner stuff take it to a shop and have the injectors professionally cleaned. I did it and my car ran much better, costs about $70 bucks here in LA.

Well I know this is old, but I hate when people don't reply on what fixed their problem.

I changed the fuel filter and that didnt work, I bypassed the fuel pump ecu and that didn't work, I went to have the fuel svc done and the fuel hard lines where frozen on so they could not do the svc. So I went to NAPA and got a bottle of sea foam and I have had no problems yet.

Sea foam worked for me!!!!
