what is required to change an auto sc into a 6 speed and what would it cost?

and what would it require to change a 5 speed manual to a getrag 6 speed and what would it cost?

i'm talking about just the tranny and not doing the whole 2jzgte swap.

well if you go from auto to 6speed its going to require some custom work like modifying your interrior and under carriage installing pedals and a nice amount more for a good idea of how this is done go to http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/aut...wap/index.html this will show you every step required and also shows u that you can do it yourself

I converted my SC300 to manual and these are the parts needed

Tranny crossmember
Clutch pedal
brake pedal not needed, I just cut mine and purchased a stock rubber cover
Clutch master
Clutch line
slave cylinder
Driveshaft for proper tranny
ECU, Harness (which im selling)
Shifter and Interior trim piece

I bought all my parts off a sc300 that was being parted out and it isn't hard at all.

Converting it to 6 speed is tougher, which I'm also doing this winter.

Depending on year of the sc, you have to bang out the tranny tunnel a bit and get a custom driveshaft made.

i'm sure there is someone out there who knows something or two about this or has
actually did the tranny swap. I'm sure there's someone out there with a manual
sc300 who bolted on a turbo on the GE block and decided to change the tranny
to a getrag so they'd have a tranny that wouldn't blow and could handle the power.

thanks.

There is no difference between the GE and GTE as far as that is concerned.
