its a noise i cant even explain.,., i have a 96 5spd and as i accelerate i hear this static hissing noise... only for like 3 secs then once i pass 3k rpms it goes away... or it probably doesnt go away,, just i cant hear it over the engine.... sigh,...
i dont know...
oh yea,, and i have 118k miles....
did not do any major maintanence....

Hmm. Does the noise sound mechanical at all, or is it really like a leaking hose kind of hissing? Can you tell roughtly where the sound is coming from? Front, back, underneath?

well.. it makes noise when i just press on gas pedal
as long as the revs climb right after i let off it clicks and rattles.....
