Default Carson Toyoya

I called Carson Toyota several times and although they were very nice on the phone, they were useless.

I asked about products available from "TOMS" and apparently everything has to be special ordered. Three times I was told they would call me back and so far they haven't. I printed out some info from the WEB with part numbers and pricing. The prices were shown in Japanese Yen. When I asked for a conversion to dollars, they told me to "drop the last zero". A set of speings was listed at Y28,000. They told me they would cost $2,800. Are they nuts??

So far, they've been as helpful as "BLITZ"...........

Where do the rest of you modders get your stuff??

Make sure you talk to Steve at Carson. The other guys are nice, but don't have the answers you're looking for much of the time.

Try getting to Steve through email rather than calling, faster response - he's a busy guy,

Larry, I'll second DaveGS4's recommendations. I ordered my AutoCouture front & rear lip spoilers from Carson Toyota and Steve Ganz was the only one who could help me. FYI, I touched base with him via phone first to introduce myself and after that I found that e-mail was the best way to communicate. You'll get responses MUCH faster via e-mail vs. phone. He was great and everything was delivered as promised.

Larry ...
This is God's way of telling you to save your money.

I think that he should have told you to drop the last two zeroes to get an approximate amount.
Y28,000 = $238; Of course this changes as exchange rates change.

He said SAVE money... not HAVE money. There's a big difference... especially for those of us who mod!

Larry, I just came back from Carson today and Steve was telling me that one of their employees who handles the phone orders had left so they are short right now. Just be patient with Steve and the guys over at Carson

OK, I'll be patient. It is a bit frustrating though, especially when you're trying to get information and want to place an order.

I would defintely talk to Steve. The Tom's stuff should not be too hard to come by for them as the Tom's North America distributor is located in LA as well. So it shouldn't be a huge burden for them to get the parts quickly (of course that depends on what "quickly" means when shipping from Japan!). And on the conversion, just drop the last two zero's and that would give you an estimate of price. I have had nothing but great experience with Carson Toyota.

You should be frustrated. Sometimes these vendors (not pointing fingers) forget who is the customer.
Why should a consumer have to wait to get an answer back?

Call someone else who gives you better customer service. I personally base my large purchases on the entire buying/selling process and not just the cheapest place I can find.

off the soapbox now...

Peace,
Mark Mac

If you cannot get Steve, ask for Gordon, I got entangled with a 'loafer' at Carson, and waited over 3 months for a issue to be rectified. I sent Steve a PM, he got Gordon to assist me, I send Steve the PM on Tuesday, I had my part on Saturday!!!

Carson offers EXCELLENT service (Gordon called to clarify/confirm 2-4 times), you just have to deal with the right individuals!
