Default Lexus repair puyallup / tacoma

Looking for a shop to diagnose/repair an issue with my 92 sc400. Anyone know of any good local shops, preferably in the Puyallup / Tacoma area? If you know the shop rate too that would be great, not looking to pay 90-100 an hour.

What kind of problems are you having? Im in Spanaway, but not a mechanic

Have you tried an OBD reader from autozone?
If not, then you can either put a deposit on one and borrow it for a day. When you return it, you will be refunded for the whole deposit. Or if your car is driveable, you can use it in there parking lot for free.
Write down the codes and come on here to find out what the issue is.

My tech works for Lexus. He lives in the south hill area. If you are interested....pm me. I will send you details. I now only do my services through him.

Basically it had a misfire that would start and gradually get worse as it got warm. I've replaced spark plugs, wires, coils, caps/rotors, etc. A couple times it has gone away for a few weeks, but then comes back. Now it does it right at start up. It runs very rough, doesn't idle right, etc.

It hasn't been throwing any codes, and do they have one for OBD1?

Ended up just taking it to a shop close by. It had good spark, compression, like I thought.

Looks like the #1, 2, and 7 injectors are bad/clogged.

Now my question is should i just buy remanucfactured ones, taken them out and have them cleaned, or take it to a shop and have them run cleaner through them?

I think there is a Dr. Injector in Federal Way that could clean/flow test them for you. Probably same day turnaround.

P.s. - FWIW, stay away from a shop called Illtech in Tacoma, not worth the headache you will get dealing with them.

I took it back to the shop that did my shocks/struts, should have gone there to begin with. It actually ended up being the injector wire harness. I had the new injectors put in anyway and new fuel filter. He only charged $150 for everything.
