Time to check out the classified thread for some carbon fiber hood, modded headlights, tte lips (since you are going to repaint). Get an aluminum radiator if the rad is destroyed. Car still looks good.

Dunno if that's exactly my dad's taste, or mine haha. The car has over $10,000 in damages so far. We're gonna total it out and take the money. My friend is going to try to buy it off the insurance company if it's cheap enough and fix it himself since he is a Lambo tech and has everything needed at his fingertips. Was a nice car so it kinda sucks, but I may be able to get the L-tuned skirts off and sell them cheap if anyone is interested.

Well it looks like we're having it fixed afterall. The insurance company is claiming the car is worth $15-$20,000 and it has over $10,000 in damages... How is that not considered a totaled car? They are just jerkin' us aroudn and it pisses me off.

they have changed the laws on certain insurance companies, like raising the total loss to 70%. and a few others that i cant think on top of my head.

well, you can try to persuade the insurnce to total it, since its not your fault. or are they trying to say that its your dads fault for rear ending the douche?

 

I believe my parents are on Kemper insurance. They do have that 70% of the value in damages deal, but I think saying that a 2000 GS400 is worth $15-20,000 is just a way out of paying for it since $10,000 is JUST under 70% of $15,000... They just plan it out so they pay as little as possible. They aren't blaming my dad for the accident, which is great, but the fact that all he's really getting out of this is a devalued car and NOTHING else is just plain BS. No matter how good the shop is, a rebuilt car is never the same. Hope that kid gets run over by a reindeer.... I'd say by a bus or shot, but CL probably wouldn't take that too well
