Default to detail or not?

well looks like our summer (that never really came) is now gone...

I do wanna detail my car before the real rain starts coming. I was thinking of doing it today, but it looks like its going to be raining for the rest of the week. but it might be sunny next week... so i may have a chance to do it next week.

any inputs?

peace

keep hitting the inside like normal, get good thick rubber mats and just do regular washes with 2-3 wax's throughout the winter

Get a good paint sealant on there and you'll only have to apply it once every 6 months.

Or do it OCD style like me and do 3 coats every 3-4 months The more sealant you put on the shinier it will get. Just get her protected before it's too late.

Wait for it to be nice out. What I do is wash it outside, drive it into the garage, dry it in there, then proceed to detail it. If you do it indoors (if you have that option) the results will be better.

On your next dry not-too-cold-but-not-sunny day, what I'd do is wash your car, then clay bar it, then wash it again, then dry it, then wax. Do that going into, fall and coming out of winter. Extra waxes in between are optional (especially during the winter time when it completely sucks. Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax 2.0 looks pretty good and lasts a fairly long time, you'll still be beading water fairly hard 4 months in. Which means you'll wake up in the morning to a car that looks like it has frozen pimples all over it if you're applying your first coat this late in the season =P

Detail!
Plenty of wax coats to last you lol
oh and when the rain does come down, don't forget to wax the windshield.
It works so well sometimes you won't even have your wipers on
