Aloha everyone! Just got back from Hawaii and I'm checking up on my forums. I haven't been back to CL in awhile. I need to check up on the upcoming meets. My transmission should be back from the race build in less than 2 weeks.
I can understand wanting to get things professionally done. It saves time, and prevents a lot of grief and heartache. However, saving money has always been a priority for me. Especially in these times. You know that most of the things you want to do only take a few hours. If you did them one at a time on weekends you would save yourself over $400. That's enough money for me to at least give it a shot. Plus there are probably a few people near you on one of the forums with experience that would give you a hand or at least help you if you get stuck and asked. That's always worked for me and saved me thousands on something even as complicated as a turbo install. I'm sure you've already thought about all this but after you said they wanted to charge you almost $500 for those mods and that you are also saving for suspension mods... well I just thought I'd give you a little encouragement to try it yourself first.
You will save about half or a third of what you need for some coilovers.
Well, don't give me a hard time now
, but I was checking out places that does custom cosmetics. The things that I want done are pretty basic and can be a DIY for sure, but I don't have the time and patience to do them myself and I rather have a professional do any of my cosmetics and mods.

Like you said, I rather use the 400-500 on suspension any day! I'm just a lazy....lol. Thanks for the input mixtnutz.
As some of you may have noticed at the BBQ on Sunday... I have little "thing" about a nice lip lately.
Walk up to a car with nice aftermaket rims, then look around. Slowly reached in and put my fingers along the lip...
Anyone who has a rolller and grinder, I need to borrow them!
I mean the fender lip.... oh, I got my different lip installed
My new front lip spoiler is in!!!!

The whole time I was reading your first couple of sentences. I started to get a little stiffy. Then I realized you were talking about a totally different lip in general.
lol
Where's a good legit place in the seattle/tacoma area to get springs and shocks installed? I am going to purchase the Eibach Pro-Kit/Bilstein set-up and need to find a trusted shop that can install these for me. Thanks!

Your garage on a weekend is a good place! lol. That's not that hard either if you or somebody you know has the right tools.
DIY's = more money for upgrades
