Default New project car. Help me decide!!!

so my buddy is buying my commuter car civic off me, so ill have about 5g to spend. i havnt fully commited to what type of project i want to do, but i know for sure itll be either a VIP or fun track/street car. im lookin at N/A MKII Mr2, run it til it blows then swap in a JDM turbo motor, VIP early 90's LS400, VIP 1st gen GS300. tell me what you guys think! any input would help

You have to narrow down what your looking for. If you want a sports car fine MR2 If you want a VIP the LSfourhundy gets my vote. If you want a nice lux-sport then 1st gen. I own a 1st and 2nd gen gs and love them both. Ive been lookin at ls430's and for what ever reason, I just cant bring myself to sell the 1st gen.
What happened to your sc4 ?

i would go with the MR2 with the 3s-gte swap , you can make it fast and reliable. Power to weight ration of the car is way better than the 1st gen GS with the 2jz and for less money, meaning, it'll be faster

my SC4 was hit by 2 girls whom "stole" a family friends truck, never drove in their lives, ran a stop sign and smashed the whole passanger side, and they had just filed for bankruptcy so it was one of teh ****tiest situations i couldve been in. that was back in january. since then ive been driving aruond a beater 97 EX civic. but now its time for some real ishhh.the only thing i dont like about LS4 is that im gonna get raped on gasssss! but yea ive been looking into a mkii mr2 w/ 3sgte swap. theres a swap on CL for 1500, but ever since i saw the black 1st gen GS at HIN w/ the fattiest FMIC ive wanted one. my parents want me to roll it Exec. style wit the 1st gen or LS cause they know ill get into some sort of trouble in the MR2.

mr2 is not an option now. insurance on a NA is 270/month for full converage. wayyy too much. found what sounds like a legit 1st gen in oregon stock near PSU. cousin is gonna get me more info on it in a little. i shouldve jumped o the black GS that was for sale with liek some 18's and a pretty clean kit. it was near the 240th & 16th ave intersection stop light...it was sellin for like 8g if i remember correctly earlier this summer?

holy crap 270/month?!?!?!? why so high? if you are worried about insurance and everything, get a old school LS400, it'll be cheaper in the end with insurance and everything.
