Default :( Hit and run... Now how to fix

It was a sad day. I went to go to the book store and when I came out, someone had did an number on my rear quarter pannel. Scraped the rear bumper and made a nice deep dent from the back all the way to the wheel well. Some paint chipping and a huge uglyness Got a police report saying it was a hit and run and now what to do!!!

I guess call insurance compnay and they tell me what to do? I'll get a pic and put it up.

I remember a thread about where a good place was to take cars for body work. What was that place again? I wonder if they will repaint the whole thing?

How very terribly unfortunate Fortunately, things like this can be repaired; Tis why we have insurance! Looks like a nice solid dent. Believe you me, when you hit something in your car, you definately know it. I know that the person who hit you knows that they did. I'll give you the run down of what probably happened:

1: Inattentive/distracted driver is operating a motor vehicle, a relatively cheap one.
2: Said driver hits red 93 Lexus SC 300 (which looks a lot newer than it is).
3: Driver panics because they are not insured, and the vehicle they hit looks expensive.
4: Driver glaces quickly over shoulder, noting that nobody observed the collision.
5: Driver nonchalantly exits parking lot, makes a right turn onto Everett Mall Way, and leaves the scene.

6: Silkiechic exits store, observes car...

Well, like I said, it can be fixed. Then she'll be nice and happy again with a nice full rear end!

Yes, it shall be repaired. Hopefully it won't be too expensive. *crosses fingers for insurance*

Sorry to hear about your car, there are a lot of people who would rather dip out than take responsibility for what they did. *******s...

I feel for ya man. I would man up to doing that to someones car. Especially since my gs3 has been hit and run three times in the last year ! Twice in front of my house when someone was turning in the culdesac and once in lowes parking lot. Got a police report for that one.
Anyway, everone is going to chime in with the best body shop so im going to put mine up. A friend owns "haurys lake city collision" they do very nice work. I have done three custom paint jobs with him.

Take it into the body shop that you want to have the work done at. They will handle the insurance b.s. for you. Let me know if you need shop recommendations.

Ah, so I can tell my dad that he doesnt have to go to insurance first. Do you know of a good place up in the everett area? My friend that works at lexus says they send their cars to R and R but I don't know if that means they are any good.

I've actually heard of R and R. I think they are one of the nicer shops up north but I've never been there.

damn thats too bad, i loved your car! the damage does not look too bad though. my car needs to go to the body shop also because i drive like an idot!lol jdm soarer recommended me to a bodyshop in marysville, i think he knows the guy, i was told he does real good work too. i'll ask him for the name of the shop, he's done work on some kick *** cars, one of which i have seen in person, its a white R32 skyline, i've seen some other pics of a 3rd gen rx-7 and a blue supra.
