Hey people.

Is there going to be another SoCal meet like the one in Carson in the near future? I figured that it's now summer and alot more people can attend this time.

If it's sometime in August then it sounds fairly decent.

Some things to watch out for:
--------------------------------------------------------------------
1) Meet at a big place. Carson Toyota was a nice location but the dedicated meeting space is somewhat small.

2) Plan WAY ahead. May19th meet was planned many many weeks ahead so yah.

3) Keep the raffle!!

4) Turbo IS and Michael's 1FASTGS showdown!!!!

haha

any comments

I feel so bad that I missed the biggest CL meeting last time because I had to spend some "quality time" with my gal. Definitely looking forward to next big meeting.

That's wonderful man!

It's cool if it's at Carson again but we definitely needs alot more space. So that we can be all spread out in a line or 2 and take panorama pics.

Maybe even Huntington beach? hahaa probably not.

If possible, not the last weekend of August! I'm taking my GS on its first long road trip and don't want to miss the meet!

earlier august if possible.
I don't know how many students are on this board but most of the private universities start in mid to late August.

Bruins, ha!
Its all about the unique UC!
So elite they even made our calender like a private school!
Berkeley Bears all the way.

(totally not trying to flame or be arrogant or anything so please nobody get pissed, just having some friendly UCLA/CAL rivalry)

Default colleges

Other than the UC schools (with the exception of Berkeley), I haven't really heard of others being on the quarter system. Out of curiosity, I looked up Pierce College, Santa Monica College, and San Diego State University.

Pierce seems to be quarters which made me think all community colleges might be? But Santa Monica College looked to be semester which squashed that idea. San Diego State was also semester. If I'm not mistaken, I had a friend who went to Devry last year and his schedule was always different than mine...I think he was on quarters?

These are all CA schools, does anybody know about outside CA?

As to my major, it is Computer Science (ahhhh!). What about you?
