Default OC tint shop

I am looking for a reputable tint shop to tint my car. It's a new I35 with Nav, so I am abit concerned about using metallic films, however I think I am willing to take the chance as I don't want to deal with retint every few years with a dyed film.

Anyone know of good shops around the LA/OC area that they can recommend? Any pricing reference will be great too for a 4 door sedan.

thanks alot

I called Sunny Hills Car Wash in Fullerton to arrange my tint. I opted for the Llumar metallic for the reason I don't want to change it every 3-4 years. The metallic based film is not supposed to cause any problems with electronic devices... I have used my cell phone, a portable LCD TV and frequency scanner without problem.

I paid $175 all around for the metallic through the car wash. Install time was 3 hours with a complimentary wash.

Elite Window Tinting is the one who did it and they do mobile installs. Their # direct

In a past life I tinted glass but I was way out of practice. This installer did an excellent job but like most every tint job, it has "character". On a percentage scale of 100% meaning: not a bubble, lint, spec of dust anywhere and symmetrical cuts around the window I say this is a 94%. I'm pleased and would recco as well as use them again.

this is what i've heard about metallic films from my installer in Irvine (www.windowtinting.net) very good place as well. The metallic film shouldn't be used on cars with nav, since most nav antennae are embedded in the rear windshield, thats why you wouldn't have problems using cellphones and other portable devices since they aren't in contact with the film directly.
