Why can't I adjust the volume from my car when a call comes in?

Default Why can't I adjust the volume from my car when a call comes in?

I just got a brand new NX300. When a call connects, I can barely hear anything through the car speakers and adjusting the volume via the car controls does not work. Once I manually adjusted the volume on my phone, all was ok.

Shouldn't the volume be adjustable from the car when a call comes in?

While having phone conversation, turn radio/media volume **** up or down, depending which way you want to adjust it. Works fine in my 2017 NX200t.

Yes, that works if the phone volume is already turned up. I called Lexus and they said if my phone volume is really low or ringer off, I have to adjust it on the phone first. Weird..but that's what it is.
Thanks for your reply

Then what's the point to SW volume controls? As they surely do not adjust volume while in conversation. Good luck using pointer, while driving, to hit volume + button on display. Then again, why do we even have volume control on SW?

He’s not referring to a pointer, he is referring to the volume **** below the screen. I don’t know if this works as I’ve not tried it, the volume for us is good.

Go to Menu>Phone>Settings> Sound> adjust volumes as you wish. Ringer volume, incoming call volume. Those are set though, after you adjusted them. Hence, if it's too loud now during call, simply knock it down on phone volume control. Easier.
