Album Art
I have a 2018 300H and have noticed an issue with the album art on XM Radio. While I am driving it just shows the XM radio logo in the photo (along with the song info) but as soon as I stop and shift into park the album artwork appears instead. Anyone else notice this or a fix on how to get the album photo to show all the time? Not a huge issue but just wondering if there is a fix for it.

I did some extensive research on this since it’s pretty disappointing to look at generic icons when there’s technology now to show cover art from almost every source. Turns out this is a lockout feature to prevent distracted driving. Cover/album art only displays when in park. It’s not just XM radio that does this, it’s all sources, even if playing music from a phone plugged in through USB. There are threads from parent company Toyota explaining why.
