As a side note this guy is an amazing bodyman.

I will need to disassemble this when I do the lexus illuminated cup holders on my wife's nx.

So let me get this right. Removal of the 2 leather centre console panels allow removal of the silver centre console trim. Then 2 screws only hold the sat nav screen in.
So the new NX widescreen with modified silver trim can be fitted in minutes. As long as the new screen is plug and play for the existing wiring. Interesting.

 

^^ I would be interested in the updated widescreen if it's plug and play or just needs little modfications.

 

Is the interface the same between the two screens? I ask because I know on our larger screen you can do split screen with items. I never saw the smaller screen in person so don't know if that had the feature as well? I'm betting that there is probably some type of software coding involved but I would think the monitor would be plug and play for connections.

Goes into a lot of detail for center console which is perfect. Now the illuminated cup holders should be a breeze to install!

There is a split screen on the homepage. I'm going to wait until I see a video on the NX300 or ask the technicians at the dealership.
