Just got the LED bulbs in and did the installation today, thought I'd try my dealer first but to no surprise they wanted to charge for it (80$ cdn). So I did it myself. Glad I did.
I will say the manual says to fold the tape to pull, but even tape such as duct tape rips under stress so I had to make a Frankenstein tape line so that it was strong enough to pull. OP says use reinforced tape, if you have it, use it. If not just go crazy and use a bunch of tape and pull back.
Install ended up working great. All signals flash in sync, and it looks much more refined than the incandescent bulbs.

Excellent! I'm happy for you. I really have enjoy having these as LEDs. I wonder why Toyota/Lexus (and even Honda/Acura) don't use LEDs for the rear turn signals.

Some BMW don't either. My cousin's 2017 440i Gran Coupe has incandescent brake lights, turn signals, and reverse lights. I believe other BMW models were like this too until some recent refreshes.

Just wanted to give an update to those here still on the thread.
I got the iJDMToy ones maybe 2 years ago and mine are still going great!
Fits perfect, no resistor needed and very bright. Recommend to anyone who wants to upgrade to LED. They were pretty pricy though, especially because I live in Australia but very happy with the product.
