On the topic, does the moonroof cut into headroom space? I'm 173cm tall, also have a cushion on the seat, was wondering if non moon roof NX's have a higher rood clearance. I have enough room, but I can imagine someone quite a bit taller having trouble.
On some previous models (e.g. 2005 RX), the moonroof encroached the rear passengers' headroom. This doesn't happen on the NX because the moonroof now opens up and to the exterior of the vehicle. The older models had the glass slide back into the roof. The contour of this "pocket" lowered the available headroom.
The disadvantage of the new design is that you have to be careful if you open the moonroof when cargo (crossbars, bicycles, containers, surfboards, snowboards,Christmas Trees, etc) are on top. This is why I did this to carry my bikes and snowboards.
