Default Seat adjustment

My wife is very short and when she drives has the seat in a very high and upright position. We realized that she has to be careful because the driver seat headrest will push against the headliner. I think the adjustment range could have been better planned. Our last car would not allow this to happen. Anyone else notice this?

You may not be aware of this, try pushing the headrest fore/aft. Maybe the couple inches makes a difference in where it hits the roof lining.

my wife, who's about 5'4" has a similar problem with the height issue though not too bad. if she does move the seat up as far as possible, it will hit the roof.

however, her problem is even more prevelant with the design of the seats themselves. first and foremost, she hates how deep and long the bottom cushion is. she'll start slouching after a while because there isn't a lot to support her lower back being that the bottom seat cushion is so long. secondly, the side bolsters prevent her putting her arms to her side or at least in a natural position, when in the passenger seat. imagine this, try sitting up straight and pushing both your shoulders straight out and in together. that awkward feeling is what she gets every time because of how deep the seat is and how big the side bolsters are. i'm 5'11" and also bc i'm driving most of the time, my hands are on the steering wheel and not down at my side, i never noticed this problem. my daily driver is an rsx and still, even with those bucket seats and lowered with about a 4 inch clearance, thats much easier for her to get out of compared to a stock IS.
