Went over mine with a fine tooth comb and it's PERFECT!

The "CUSTOM" order thing is kind of a play on words as you read the step 3 below. Not really custom like in the old days. Like for example if I "custom" ordered a Premium with JUST Mark Levinson, I doubt you would EVER get it as all ones with ML I've were loaded up . This day and age Lexus builds what they have parts for and allocate dealers from there. On that note ,top selling dealerships get more allocations. For example, Lexus of North Miami has 124 NX's listed right now . Only 8 of them are 350H's though. Lexus of Austin where I bought mine had just received 17 and all but 2 were spoken for so they are picking up on making them.

Steps On How To Custom Order a Lexus
Before we touch on how to custom order a car with our team, you may be wondering if it’s even worth it in the first place. When you custom order a vehicle, you’ll get to enjoy a vehicle that’s made specifically for you.

Whether you want to stand out with a unique color combination or you’re interested in a specific feature, custom ordering your Lexus will ensure you get a vehicle that’s designed exactly for your needs. With that in mind, here are the steps on how to custom order a car with our team:
  1. Build your Lexus with our vehicle request form to let us know the model you’re looking for.
  2. After confirming the details, we’ll reach out to you to confirm your vehicle build. We’ll go over options, features, and other details to ensure you’re getting the perfect Lexus.
  3. We’ll reference your build specifications with arriving inventory to confirm if anything matches your requests. If there is, you’ll be able to secure one of the incoming vehicles .
  4. From beginning to end, we’ll ensure you have all the information you need about your order and we’ll let you know once it’s arrived at your dealership.
Through my experience, the inventory manager would see what vehicles were coming to the dealership through allocation. If they had a 350H Luxury on the list, then they are able to make changes as long as it’s not already built. That includes the vehicle color, leather color, and packages. They are able to remove packages or even accessories such as mud guards, weather mats, etc. He showed me vehicles that matched exactly what I wanted and which dealership would receive it. At that time, Miami (not my dealership) was receiving the most hybrids and electric vehicles. All of this to say, yes they have a list of vehicles through allocation; however, they can make changes that matches the customer’s needs.
