Default Run flat tires replaced?

Has anyone replaced their 18” run flat tires with conventional all season tires?
A few questions.
have you noticed an improvement is ride quality, road noise etc?
what brand tires?
what have you done as backup plan if you get a flat? What kit etc. to inflate, temporarily seal leak etc?

I love the car. 350h base model, with 4500 miles and 43+ overall mpg so far. However tires main complaint. I can live with them for now but thinking down the road as they wear (have seen posts they wear out sooner?).
thanks for any feedback.

I replaced my 18-inch run flats with 19-inch conventional tires the week after I got my 350h premium and I couldn't be happier. The ride quality improved quite a bit. There's that constant hum coming from the tires and I only realized it was gone after I got rid of them as I had initially chalked it up as engine noise. You won't regret it. If you search my posts you'll have a lot more details about my experience. I have a tire repair kit and an electronic pump in my trunk. I also have 3 yrs of road assistance with Lexus and once that expires I'll probably go the CAA (AAA) route for peace of mind.

Do you have a tire repair kit that you can recommend?

I just grabbed on off of Amazon. Can't recommend. Didn't use it.
