- Brake pedal was completely without pressure / useless - worked perfectly well a minute before
- Pre Collision system didn't work / never engaged
- No damage to brake line etc.

Thankfully no physical injuries reported (for now). All airbags popped. The insurance file is open. Lexus Canada has opened a file too.

Will keep you all posted.

Please note you're talking about a first gen NX 300 here and not the 2nd gen which was a total redesign from the ground up, based on current Rav4 platform too. It goes from 2022 NX to 2025 presently. Almost all North American sold vehicles of '22 onward are built in Canada with the exception of the 450H+ built exclusively in Japan. Some Japan built second gens did come from Japan for the North American market but I don't believe that is currently the case now, and all come from Canada.

There is another sub forum for the first gen NX found here if you wish to redirect your concerns: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/nx-...2015-2021-264/

We still get MiJ 250/350/350h in the USA. They are sparse but they do exist.

Actually quite the contrary, almost all the new NX arriving at local dealership are Japan built. May have to do with the weaker yen.

Oh! Well, that might mean there's some retooling going on in Canada plant possibly, or the sales are through the roof and they can't keep up.

Going down a busy street last night, two cars came out, one behind the other, at full speed from between two buildings on my right. I've never seen anyone do this, it's like they ignored all the traffic and came out at a high rate of speed. I nailed the brakes and couldn't believe how good they were! I swerved to the left at the same time and miraculously missed both cars. Almost wrecked a 1 month old car! Good things the brakes on my NX were fantastic. If they had gone to the floor I would have been in a world of hurt.
