This seems to affect the iPhone 13 more than other phone models.
For those that are affected, does it still cause your phone to heat up as if it were charging even when the orange light is blinking and it's not charging?
That would make it so you can't even use that slot as just a phone holder.
I don’t have any problems with my iPhone 13 Pro Max (with Apple leather case) charging unless it moves when I take a turn at more than casual speed. If it moves I just reposition it and it’s fine.
I’m going to place it on the charger while parked and then try putting some rubber dots around the border and will see if that keeps it in place.
Honestly I've gotten to the point where I want to rip the charger out with how frustrating it has been lol. LIKE CMON LEXUS IT'S A WIRELESS CHARGER, THE RAV4 HAS FIGURED IT OUT WHY CANT YOU?!?1

I've never had a good experience with any wireless charger any my iPhones.
My friend's Honda Civic 2022 Touring with a wireless charger does the same thing.
My NX350h Executive (Canada) does the same thing.
Interesting fact is that it charges my wife's Samsung phone just fine.
I have a non-Apple MagSafe leather case on my iPhone 13 Pro Max. Sometimes the phone charges just fine. Sometimes it charges for a minute and then stops. I'll shift it around and it will connect again. A minute later it will disconnect. There doesn't seem to be any reason for the inconsistency. There also doesn't seem to be a sweet spot on the charging pad.
I don’t have the charger in my base 350h. Don’t need it. If I do, just connect etc.
Friend has a new BMW $90k suv, has same issues with charging that I see others complaining about.
Could we solve the alignment issue by sticking one of those aftermarket "magnet rings" onto the charging platform? I mean those metallic rings that conform to the MagSafe patterning, so that the (MagSafe-compatible) phone will stay in place.
Here's what I did. I might use 3m tape to secure the MagSafe charger. Finally, the door closes with the MagSafe, iPhone 13 Pro Max and Apple leather case.
small 12-volt adapter Apple MagSafe
Added 3m two-side tape. I’ll let it set over the weekend and hopefully it’ll stay put when I lift up my phone.
