Dashcam install in driver-side fuse panel
I followed the instructions (after reading half a dozen times) and made it work for VIOFO V119 mini2. I got the VIOFO HK4 hardwire kit.
I used those two empty ones in the first picture (one labeled as a yellow circle and another one in a red circle) from this thread. Also, I removed one side plastic panel to find the big nut to connect the ground cable. Routed all cables under the weather seal.
One thing to pay attention is, and that is the reason I tried/failed many times before got it working:
#5 position fuse (the row close to the front left tire - counting from the front of the car) should be connected to the hardwire kit's "battery" wire (red label on the wire) - constant power.
#3 position fuse (the row close to the steering wheel, away from the front left tire) should be connected to hardwire kit's ACC wire (yellow label on the wire).
It is nice to have a multimeter to measure the voltage and use the metal as ground. The metal can be found under the brake pedal. Or if you still have the side cover open, that big nut connecting ground wire can be used for sure.
HK4 wiring kit: red = battery; yellow = ACC. See the below pictures. The color might be opposite from the labels from this thread...
The battery connection has power after the engine is shut off at 12.6V. I set the voltage cut off to 12.0V now (hardware kit's component).
Also, it takes about 30-60 seconds for this camera to go to Parking Mode after the engine is off and I lock the door. The camera is waiting for the ACC power to be off then switch to parking mode. Of course, you need to enable the parking mode in the camera. (Many times during setup that was reset to default mode - which has parking mode off).
