As a new 22 NX 350 FSport owner I am finding the operation of everything a bit overwhelming. Simple things like getting the interior light to come on when doors open seem hard to locate directions. Is there a short cut?
Congrats on the car. It's not the answer you're going to want to hear, but the "shortcut" is reading the owners manual cover to cover. It's overwhelming, but if you take it in bites - ideally online before you even have the car - you'll learn how to operate features you wouldn't otherwise even know it had. The marketers won't put it in ink, but the NX is a car for someone who readily adapts to new technology. While most of it is pretty easy to use, a lot of it will be frustrating for someone who doesn't invest some learning time up front. Good luck - the study is worth it.

I was overwhelmed in the beginning too. I then found a couple of great videos on how to change the setting of the car to my likings that explained everything and I love it now. There are videos that Lexus dealers have done to help new car owners with the NX. Google 2022 Lexus NX customizing settings video and some should pop up. And yes you can customize the lights when the doors open.
@pizookie is very right about the videos! They supplement the reading I still recommend. Melissa at Northside Lexus has some amazing tutorials. The deep-dives are worth your time. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCz0...4xhV8ok7FYaGyw

I second what 907 says. Those deep dive videos are excellent!!
I agree, the tutorials from Melissa at Northside are outstanding and helped a whole lot. But, you still need to study the manuals.
I agree with getting the tutorial videos by Melissa, and studying the manuals - but my tip is to download all 500 or so pages of the manual as a PDF, open it in a PDF reader, and use the search function for key words.😬 Works a treat for me.
The owners manual would be half a thick as it is if it wasn’t filled with stupid warning boxes like not using your Lexus as a battering ram or in the bathtub or swimming pool.
Reading it cover to cover would be one thing (if not painful) but I find using it to find a specific answer to a question to be very frustrating. The index is useless. Even having a PDF copy and using a find function still results in 1 million hits depending on how many keywords you use.
