Default Lexus NX - PPF question

Hello i recently purchased an NX 2022 - 450 + and it came with 'Exterior Prot-Premier' for $650.

Does anyone know what that is? I'm assuming a paint protective film?

Only your dealer will know....seems too cheap for ppf .. probably a coating just (aka paint protection)

More likely a way to add to their profits than anything else. I remember a co-worker buying a new RX a couple years ago and we was going on and on bout this amazing ceramic coating the dealer sold him and how it was going to make his paint basically bulletproof. A few years later when you park next to him in bright sun you can see all the micro-scratches in the paint because he belongs to one of those car wash clubs and runs it through the wash almost daily.

Oh you're right, they also added 3M door edge guards to for an extra $550! Would you say going to those drive in car washes with the big machine brushes is bad for a new car?

I do want to eventually get PPF for my new 450+. I know its not an exotic car but i do want to keep this car for years to come, i dont like rock chips or marks in my cars paint. What do you think? Would i be able to get it on top of the dealer's paint protection

PPF is not one those things you do eventually. Should be done as soon as you take delivery. No sense doing PPF after the first chip.
