Default 2022 Lexus NX Full Video Tutorial

Thought I would share this. I've been waiting for Lexus Northside to post this. I generally think they do a great job at explaining and showing everything about the car and features.

Interesting about the outside door handles.

Thumbs up Northside Videos

Some of the best Lexus instructional videos on YouTube have been done by Northside Lexus under the banner of Tech Tip Tuesday. I’ve found close to a dozen that are either 2022 NX specific or provide Lexus general technology insights that can apply to the new NX. They range from How to Setup Your Profile to How to Customize Apple CarPlay. Well worth finding.

Yes! She is incredible. And, she will promptly respond to each comment. These videos are so in-depth. I love watching them for all of the Lexus models when I can. With the detail in these videos, I can only imagine how good the in-person service is at Northside Lexus.

Hey @NorthsideL Thanks for the video! Gives me something to drool over while I wait for mine to be delivered.
The 350h can run on 87 (Regular fuel), just something to point out.

@Ihave1cat You bet! So glad you like the video! Early on I saw conflicting information about the fuel for the NX350h. Since it doesn't say "Premium Fuel Required" inside the fuel door like some of our other vehicles, we spoke with Lexus about it and they said "they aren't recommending Regular for this hybrid." Since the Owner's Manual also recommends Premium I decided to present the same info to be consistent with their recommendations. I know there are a few Lexus vehicles that Lexus has recommended Premium for, but because of the learning component on the intake valves, it will adjust to what you put in it. Maybe that's why we are hearing different information from different sources? Always learning Thanks again!

This may be a silly question - did Lexus seriously not include volume controls on the non-HUD steering wheel?

They're there! Lower left hand side: Check this section:
Left-Side Steering Wheel Buttons (Non-HUD Version) (This steering wheel is more like the other steering wheel that we are used to that have them horizontally across the lower left.

The manual for the hybrid states 91 octane is recommended. The manual for the turbo, states 91 is required.

@NorthsideL - I am still waiting for my Lexus NX, but your video is very helpful! I think dealers should send a link to your video to all buyers before they come to pick up the new car.

I have a question.
Based on your video you use the phone to create a new Lexus account and to set up a new profile and then you link the key to your profile.
Question 1:
In your video at 33:23 mark (up to 33:40), after adding the second profile on Lexus screen there is a question "Set as primary device. This device will now be used to load your profile" with answer options "No" and "Yes". Could you please confirm that by answering "Yes" to this question you will set up this phone as primary device JUST FOR SECOND PROFILE, and the first profile device will not be affected.

Question 2:
When I will came to the car, what profile will be loaded - profile from my linked key or profile based on the wirelessly connected phone? What if I will come to the car with the phone from the first profile, but will use the key from the second profile? What if my spouse comes first into the car and sits into the passenger chair and she has a phone and key registered with a second profile. When I will come into the driver side, will Lexus recognize my phone or key and load my profile? That is I am trying to understand how Lexus recognizes who is the driver of the car.

Thank you!
