Default NX350h Auto-Dimming Side Mirrors

Can anyone with a 350h confirm that both side mirrors are supposed to be auto-dimming? My left one is, but my right definitely is not (no lines around the perimeter).

Only the drivers side on ours is dimming. And you can clearly see the right hand mirror does not have that outline on the edge of the glass.

The Exterior Features section of the spec sheet the dealer email me includes the following:

"EXTERIOR FEATURES Bi-LED-headlamps and daytime running lights, Roof-rails Rain-sensing-windshield wipers, Power-open/close rear door, Auto-dimming-heated outside mirrors with auto tilt-down in reverse, Blade-Taillamp, Power-tilt-and-slide moonroof, 20-in-20-spoke alloy wheels with Silver finish"

This is for a 350h with the Luxury package.

Glad I'm not the only one dumbfounded by this when various documentation says "mirrors"

Any existing owners can confirm this? I test drove the NX yesterday and didn't notice the passenger side dimming or not.

Our NX 350h does not have the luxury package. The outside mirrors auto tilt w/reverse, heated and power fold.
But the passenger mirror is not auto dimming.

Our 2014 IS and all the ES we’ve had both outside mirrors auto dim.

Honestly, I don’t think it’s a deal breaker and on the right side it probably doesn’t make a huge difference.

It would be interesting to know the reasoning behind not having it auto dimming.

I'm going with cost. Coming from a car with both sides dimming, I haven't noticed much. Probably because of the angle of the mirror, which gave Lexus more of a reason to remove it.

Wait…does anyone’s mirrors auto-tilt down in reverse? Mine don’t but I also have the vision package with 360 view.

I haven't received my 350h yet so I really don't know. The information i gave was from the spec sheet my dealer sent. The info concerning the mirrors was list under "Features". I believe these listed features are standard for 350s but may change depending on the upgrades. For instance, the Features include a Power-tilt-and-slide moonroof, but I upgraded to a pano roof.

Hi,

I can confirm this. Both mirrors have auto-dimming. I have a 350h with premium package.
I understand your concern, because the guest side mirror doesn't work EVERY TIME IT SHOULD BE! So basically, i have both mirrors worked at the beginning. Then at a time point, after i made some adjustment on the position of each mirror, only left works! I think probably that's a issue due to i set the guest side mirror too low. Then i try to pull it up a little bit and then both works.

So try to raise up or adjust your guest side mirror a little bit and try again.

Try putting the vehicle in reverse, now using the mirror controls, one side at a time, adjust them to what you'd want to see when in reverse in each mirror. Manual page is attached.

Oh nice! Must have read past that in the manual. Thank you!
