Do you leave the OEM Lexus EV wall charger powered and connected to the electrical outlet when the vehicle is not in the garage or connected to vehicle.
I could not find anything in the manuals anywhere.

Yes. There will not be any current at the charge connector end of the cable unless plugged into J1772 receptacle on the car. The charger needs a 'handshake' from the car to start sending power.
Thanks but you may have misunderstood my question. I am talking about the actual EV Charger that’s connected to wall outlet. Do you leave yours connected with power all the time even when your vehicle is not in the garage. TIA

Yes, that is what I was explaining. There is no need to unplug the cable. The cable is not actually the charger - that is in the car. The box on the cable is merely a switch. The J1772 end of the charger cord is not live (and thus safe) until connected to the car.
Congrats on your H+. Ours is 3 months old only 😂. It’s our first light plunge into EV world. After reading a lot of member comments I also ordered a portable battery pack jump starter from Costco (just for a peace of mind). Should be arriving tomorrow.
I will post pictures if the negative and the positive cables can reach both sides of the charging terminals.

I would recommend returning that jump starter and instead install the Ionic Emergency Start. You can jump start the 12 v battery using a Bluetooth app on your phone. You won't have to worry about the cables being long enough.

We bought ours by chance. Went in for a hybrid. We like it. And it’s powerful.

I like the concept of the Ionic … however what happens if the driver does not have their iPhone. I have several bank jump start batteries. The Halo seems to be powerful back up. It must be checked periodically to see of it’s running 100% charge. This is the second time I read about the Ionic. It makes a lot of sense. Good conversation.
edit: does the Ionic void the warranty if it gets towed in with it connected.
You can manually activate the Ionic Emergency Battery. There is a push button on top.
👍 I’m ready to put one on my Mini and NX. Next question..,the 450 will be stored for 4.5 months with a CTEK 7002 from the engine bay. Does the Ionic remain in place or get removed while on the 7002.

I leave the Ionic connected when I use my trickle charger.
Thanks for your help...we are putting you on Speed Dial😆
One tip for connecting things to the battery terminals ... there is enough threaded stud above the factory clamps to add a stainless steel nut to hold down the connectors for the Ionic and also the quick connect wiring harness for my NOCO Genius charger (with the
As promised. Thanks for everyone recommending the Ionic but for me I purchased the Schumacher Rugged Lithium 1500A Jump Starter (Model SL1611). My reasons were
I have 2 other cars and having something that was easy portable and not fixed to my NX+ meant I could use it on other vehicles.
I still have an older Gx that we do longer trips with. So its another safety net for me just to have the bag in the trunk when we hit the road
The unit arrived 90% charged. I connected the USB-C and was able to charge this to capacity in about 30 mins. Now the most important thing was if the -/+ cables were long enough and good news (they are). I took a pic from the positive terminal (under the fuse box) to the Metallic point (as recommended on the newer Nx).
I hope this helps someone who wants a portable charger and not have to worry about the length of the jumper cables.
I marked the end points and the cables are long enough
