My idea instead of sensors is when you press the garage door opener under the mirror the side view mirrors automatically fold in. At that point one does not need them to pull into the garage.
Seemed AI generated, especially the audio.
The major upgrade would be to get rid of those dumb *** RFT tires! It wouldnt hurt to throw in an alternator to the hybrid powertrain either…
I think we can pretty much count on a refresh for 27. The model will be in it's 5th year which is typical for a Lexus refresh. Also, the NX is built on the same line as the Rav 4 In Cambridge, so this year they are building 2 different generations on 1 line. That's not as efficient as it could be. As well, the next gen hybrid system is in the new Rav 4.. They are ramping up production of that in the US plants that make it. So again, likely motivated to integrate more of that generation into more vehicle production.

There's plenty of reason why it would be a bad idea.
- parking in reverse
- reversing to get out
- just getting out normally and needing to manually redeploy the mirrors.
- opening doors that are not necessarily garage doors
What would be needed is a configuration system.
Or even just configure the sensors to sound at a specific distance, configurable whether the mirrors are folded or not.
Then the last generation rav 4 is still built on the same platform, so it's not like the current NX was a completely different beast.
This guy on Reddit says Sept 2026 for MY2027. Basically confirmed what Kirk Kreifels said in his video about NX going to HEV and PHEV only.
Toyota/Lexus is saying by 2027 60% of their sales will be either all hybrids and EV. This figure is increasing year over year 10 to 15% a year. In 2022 it was 26%. Based on history I'll predicted every new generation of Lexis and Toyota that is introduced will be either hybrid or electric. Toyota just build a 14 billion dollar battery plant in Liberty North Carolina that's employing 5000 people. This is their future.
Last I heard, Toyota was saying 2027 or 2028 before it even sees the potential for maybe possibly having a chance of being lucky that it might be ready, and something about snow in July in Texas.
Whatever we see on the new RAV4, including 360 drive recorder, new infotainment, upgraded battery on PHEV, upgrade hybrid system, TSS 4.0 etc.. should also be on the refresh NX.

2026 Rav4 AWD gets 47 mpg city and 39 highway. The 2025 gets 41 and 38 while the NX 350 gets 41 mpg and 37 mpg. A future NX getting 47 mpg in city driving is crazy.

Yes that is to say they are the best (worst) for taking their darn time on studying, testing, changing, delaying, their new work! It's like a young person studying for an exam and hoping the deadline never comes, watching the time and starting to sweat!
Then there's Hyundai Kia that change things up quicker then I can switch out my underwear for a fresh pair!
